The American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® For K-12 Schools eCard signifies a significant advancement in emergency medical training, streamlining and enhancing the credentialing process for instructors and candidates worldwide. This digital certification embodies accessibility, security, and effectiveness, addressing the diverse needs of healthcare educators and institutions.

Eligible AHA Instructors, aligned with Code Blue Training, can purchase the Heartsaver® For K-12 Schools eCard, for issuance to their students. Demonstrating their expertise in CPR and first aid. They earn this esteemed eCard by completing the AHA Heartsaver® For K-12 Schools course, under the supervision of an accredited Heartsaver® or BLS Instructor.


Heartsaver® For K-12 Schools

Heartsaver® for K-12 Schools uses the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course to teach K-12 students, faculty, and staff critical skills needed to respond to and manage a cardiac arrest, choking, or first aid emergency in the first few minutes until EMS arrives. This course teaches adult CPR and AED use. Child CPR AED, infant CPR, and first aid modules are optional. Students may also learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first-aid emergencies. The course is presented in several modules, giving schools and AHA instructors the flexibility to teach the course over several class periods. Provider cards are available exclusively to authorized TCs for issuance in accordance with AHA policy.

Students and employers can access 24/7 to check the training status of any eCard holder.

The alignment of this card is specific to the Training Center that issues it.

To verify an eCard, visit www.heart.org/CPR/mycards and enter the eCard code or scan the QR code on the student eCard.

Moreover, all cards include a copyright notice.

The expiration date displays in a 2-digit month, 4-digit year format, with a validity period of 2 years from the issue date.

Additionally, all information on the eCard digitally generates from the details entered by a valid Training Center Coordinator or Instructor.
